Position Overview:

The Director of the Cardiac Care Unit provides strategic and operational leadership across the Cardiac Service Line, including the Cardiac Care Unit, Catheterization Lab, and Cardiac Transplant Program. In partnership with Cardiac Service Line leadership and Division Chiefs, this role shapes and communicates the service line’s vision, strategy, and priorities.

Working collaboratively with the Medical Directors of the Cardiac Care Unit, Cath Lab, and Transplant Program, the Director ensures delivery of the highest standards of clinical care. This position holds accountability for operational performance, quality outcomes, patient experience, budget management, and overall success of the Cardiac Service Line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct nursing practice and operations within the Cardiac Care Unit, Cath Lab, and Cardiac Transplant Program.

  • Collaborate with medical leadership to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

  • Lead strategic planning and execution for the Cardiac Service Line.

  • Manage financial performance, including budgets and resource allocation.

  • Drive quality, safety, service, and operational excellence initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
